HOMER CARRENDER

June 24, 1937-Nov. 7, 2009

Homer Carrender, age 72, of Somerset, Ky., passed away Saturday, November 7, 2009 at his home.

He was born June 24, 1937 in Frazer, Ky., the son of the late Judge and Alta Turpin Carrender.

He is survived by one brother-Hubert Carrender of Somerset, Ky.; four sisters-Irene Helton of Indianapolis, Ind., Lois Keith of Somerset, Ky., Christeen (and Roy Lee) Black of Somerset, Ky. and Edna Keith of Amherst, Ohio; and a host of loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by two brothers-Finley and Herman Carrender; and two sisters-Flossie Carrender and Jean Rose.

He was a retired laborer for the Somerset Wood Works and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing in his younger years, watching deer and wildlife. Mr. Carrender was a friendly person.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. J.S. New, Bro. David Tomilson, and Bro. Kenny Thompson officiating. Burial followed in the Taylor Cemetery in Frazer, Ky.
