CECIL HENRY TUCKER

Aug. 23, 1919-Dec. 1, 2009

Cecil Henry Tucker, age 90, passed away Monday, December 1, 2009 after an extended illness.

He was born August 23, 1919 in the Lower Turkey Creek Community of Wayne County, the son of the late Alex and Alice Clark Tucker.

On August 2, 1948 he united in marrige with Alta Hazel Martin Tucker, who passed away January 12, 1997.

To this union two children survive-Sheila Faye and her husband Pleaz Phillips and Willis Ray Tucker; three granddaughters-Regina, Tonya and Angela; four great-grandchildren-Mariah, Dustin, Andrew and Chandler; one sister-Elva Roberts; one brother-Heston Tucker; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Rosa Lee Tucker in January 2007; siblings-Maude Jackson, Martha Jones, Monte Cox, Mary Hall, Marie Denney, Ruby Martin and Estill Tucker.

Cecil had accepted Christ as his Savior and was a member of the First Turkey Creek Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 4, 2009 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Roscoe Spradlin and Bro. Stanley Tucker officiating. Burial followed in the Clay Hill Cemetery with Bro. Fairell Morrow officiating.
