BRO. DENNIS RAY CRABTREE

Bro. Dennis Ray Crabtree, age 51, passed away Thursday, December 24,

2009 at the Parkway Medical Center in Decatur, Ala.

He was born May 22, 1958 in the Wray Hill Community, the son of the late Levi and Maggie Crabtree. His parents passed away when he was a small boy and was raised in the home of his grandparents, Lela and Harv Crabtree.

On June 28, 1980 he united in marriage with his wife Kathy Elaine Hoots Crabtree, who survives.

To this union two children survive-Pamela and her husband Jonathon Shepard of Trinity, Ala. and Jonathan "John" Crabtree of Monticello; grandchildren-Aubrey Nicole and Andrew Michael Shepard; and many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Bro. Crabtree was called by the Lord into the ministry on September 6, 1983. He served as Pastor of the Jesus Name Apostolic Church in Tompkinsville in 2002 and 2003. He was serving at the Apostolic Tabernacle of Columbia when his health forced his retirement, unhappily leaving the pulpit on July 13, 2008.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 27, 2009 at the Jesus Name Church of the Apostolic Faith with Bro. Paul Perkins officiating. Burial followed in the Crabtree Cemetery.
