Mertie Stephens, age 63, of Monticello Ky., passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born March 10, 1947 in Monticello, Ky. She was the daughter of the late John and Pearlie Emaline (Fulton) Stephens.
She is survived by seven siblings-Frank and George Stephens, Ora Jane Peircy, Joyce Lowe, Elgie Mae Carter, Lucy Stinson, and Rita Hancock.
She was preceded in death by three siblings-Billy Stephens, Sarah Belle Atkinson and Avo Hicks.
Funeral services were held Thursday April 3, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Darrell Ragan officiating. Burial was in the Gap Creek Cemetery.
Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
