The Wayne County Grand Jury met on Monday, February 24 and returned indictments against 28 people.
    Following are indictments that were returned.
    • Angel G. Benitez was indicted for trafficking in a controlled 
substance first degree, tampering with physical evidence, resisting 
arrest, possession of a controlled substance second degree and 
possession of marijuana.
    • Bruce Bowen was indicted for bail jumping first degree.
    • Joseph Coffey was indicted for possession of a controlled 
substance first degree.
    • Jacob Dishman was indicted for possession of a controlled 
substance first degree, possession of a controlled substance second 
degree, no registration plate and no registration receipt.
    • Ricky Dobbs was indicted for burglary second degree, theft by 
unlawful taking over $500, criminal mischief third degree and 
persistent felony offender second degree.
    • Brandon Dople was indicted for possession of a controlled 
substance first degree.
    • Jimmy C. Edwards was indicted for possession of a controlled 
substance first degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.
    • Alice M. Foster was indicted for promoting contraband first degree.
    • Bobby Fulton was indicted for bail jumping first degree.
    • Rodney Gregory was indicted for possession of a controlled 
substance first degree, rear license plate not illuminated, no 
registration plate, no registration receipt and failure to produce 
insurance card.
    • John Haas was indicted for receiving stolen property over $500.
    • Kyle Hicks was indicted for trafficking in a controlled substance 
first degree, operating on a suspended license, resisting arrest, no 
registration receipt and failure to produce insurance card.
    • Brandon Howard was indicted for possession of a controlled 
substance first degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.
    • Dawn Lair was indicted for excessive window tinting, failure to or 
improper signal, two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance 
first degree, possession of a controlled substance second degree, 
tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia 
and persistent felony offender first degree.
    • Jennifer Lopez was indicted for theft by unlawful taking under 
$500, possession of a controlled substance first degree and 
possession of drug paraphernalia.
    • Jesse Mason was indicted for bail jumping first degree.
    • Marvin Morrow was indicted for rape first degree, sexual abuse 
first degree, criminal attempt to commit sodomy first degree and 
persistent felony offender first degree.
    • Patricia Reynolds was indicted for possession of a controlled 
substance first degree, possession of marijuana and failure to or 
improper signal.
    • Dustin Southwood was indicted for possession of a controlled 
substance first degree, possession of a controlled substance second 
degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.
    • Melinda Tucker was indicted for theft by failure to make required 
disposition of property over $500.
    • Kenneth S. Upchurch was indicted for possession of a controlled 
substance first degree possession of drug paraphernalia, possession 
of marijuana and D.U.I. first offense.
    • Lucas Decker and Jeremy Lewis were indicted for trafficking in a 
controlled substance first degree, two counts of possession of a 
controlled substance third degree, possession of marijuana and 
possession of drug paraphernalia. Decker was also indicted for 
careless driving, license to be in possession and persistent felony 
offender second degree.
    • Billy Prince and Lisa Prince were indicted for possession of a 
controlled substance first degree, possession of drug paraphernalia 
and possession of an open alcoholic container. Billy Prince was also 
indicted for no registration plate, no registration receipt and no 
insurance.
    • Barney A. Warner and Savanna Sullivan were indicted for four 
counts of trafficking in  a controlled substance first degree while 
in possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana and possession of 
drug paraphernalia. Warner was also indicted for two counts of 
possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm 
by a convicted felon and persistent felony offender first degree.
    • Printis McWhorter was indicted for possession of a controlled 
substance first degree, tampering with physical evidence and 
resisting arrest.
    Readers are reminded that indictments do not indicate guilt, only 
that further court action is necessary in a case. Indictments are public record and are filed in the Wayne Circuit Clerk's Office.
